No rubber stamps

Tell your Senators that the Supreme Court is no place for extremists, and that they should not act as a rubber stamp for the President’s nominee to replace Sandra Day O’Connor. The Constitution calls for the Senate to “advise and consent” to judicial nominees and the process should be one to create a consesus candidate that the majority of Americans can support.


 

Impeachment gathers momentum

Zogby: In a sign of the continuing partisan division of the nation, more than two-in-five (42%) voters say that, if it is found that President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should hold him accountable through impeachment.


Surprising but heartening that Zogby feels that the issue of impeachment merits a survey question.
